When I started on this sofa (as pictured in the second shot below) the only thing holding it together was the upholstery. In order to make it a functional piece of furniture again, I completely dismantled it and rebuilt the structure out of plywood. The only original parts of the sofa are the walnut ornamental pieces that are visible. I also shortened the length by 3 inches and raised the height by 4 1/2". The piece was professionally upholstered.

This bench is another piece that I built for Thou Shalt Not. It was about an 8 hour build. The board and leg at the left hide a considerable amount of steel weight in them, in order for an actor to be able to sit on the far end without it tipping.
